BELLINGHAM, WA (September 4, 2026) — Fans of Laura Joy Lloyd’s debut novel, Interesting Enough (June 2025), will recognize fictional Wren Island as the setting for her latest novel, Far From Unremarkable (May 2026), a heartwarming story about a 70-year-old man who becomes a trusted member of his new community—unaware he is inextricably linked to one neighbor’s enduring grief.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, with ancestral connections to British Columbia’s Gulf Islands, Lloyd has always been intrigued by how real-life experiences influence storytelling. Through an innovative style she calls interactive serialized fiction, Lloyd invites readers to influence Wren Island novels in real time as she writes.
